FREE TO BE OURSELVES

Our Neurodivergent Flow is the natural way we;

Autistics, PDA'ers, OCD'ers, ADHDer's, Touretter's etc

love, play, learn, work, live, heal our trauma

and express ourselves.

OUR Living FLOW

We face unintentional harm, everywhere we turn, including from within ourselves. "Trauma that is not transformed is transferred," and protecting my child and me to be whom we were born to be, starts strong withing myself.

Our Neurodivergent Autistic Culture

places our wellbeing and in particular, our safety, first, in all that we do. All else flows on from there.

OUR LANGUAGE, OUR NARRATIVE

As proud Neurodivergent Autistics use respectful language when talking about our identity, culture, neurobiology and experiences.

We celebrate who we are.

OUR HEALING FLOW

When all is lost, pain is deep, and hope is gone, where I can't work out what's right or wrong or which way to go, but not where I've been, I become uniquely ready to let go, to do and live differently.

Doing 'differently' comes from deep inner listening, reconnecting, knowing and trusting in our neurodivergent inexplicable knowledge within.

OUR PLAYING FLOW

We're incredible creators.

Curiosity, playfulness and play (for my child that is "self-chosen and self-directed") is vital to our relationships, day-to-day living, careers and happiness.

Things like pain, loss of personal sovereignty and 'education' can kill our joy for creativity and play our pathway to the imagination, ingenuity, creative solutions, healing, connection and bloody feeling good.

OUR LEARNING FLOW

THE ND.CO

"To be Neurodivergent is to be a person who is wired to think, be and do differently."

The Autistic led Neurodivergent Collective is a global accessible educational and informational resource for parenting, supporting and educating neurodivergent people from birth to adulthood.

As a Co-contributor at The ND.co, I get to share the real inside view of being a Neurodivergent Autistic.

OUR WORKING FLOW

The things we love knowing more about, doing, and mastering, are our innate pursuits and when nurtured become our natural working life and flow.

Societal ableism was the quickest way to disconnect us from who we are, our livihoods and happiness.

Reconnecting to Neurodivergent Autistic Identity and Culture was the path to who we are.

"Yes, having the opportunity to learn about health, relationships, everything that was talked about helped me realise that I’m no different from everyone else. I use to think I was ugly and that no one liked me. I actually feel good about myself, no one is better than me. I’m perfect in my own way. I like myself a lot more and realise who I am.

FLOW

My indigenous friend and I swapped paintings as gifts to one another. Our demonstration of appreciation and gratitude of personal heartfelt stories of vulnerability shared together through our art and the survival of abusing ourselves with alcohol.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

OUR NEURODIVERGENT AUTISTIC CULTURE

We acknowledge our LBGTQIA Neurodivergent Autistic humans.

We use identity-first language, "I am autistic", opposed to "I'm a person with autism", reflecting Autism at the core of our identity, that Autism is a Spectrum, a part of neurodivergence and not a disorder. We radically embrace and celebrate neurodivergence.

Authoritarian and conforming learning and approaches such as ABA or Applied Behaviour Analysis, treatment or cures, ableism or functioning labels are harmful to both FAN and their child's neurodivergent neurobiologies.
